On July 4th, a devastating flash flood swept through the Hill Country, leaving our community reeling from loss and destruction. Many of us, including myself, lost vehicles and personal property in a matter of hours. The damage was overwhelming, and tragically, some families are now mourning the loss of loved ones. The Hunt Store, Camp Mystic, Sierra Vista, Rio Vista, Heart O’ The Hills, and Camp La Junta—places that have long been the heart of our community—were all hit hard and are struggling to recover.
Right now, our most urgent needs are replacing lost vehicles and supporting these local organizations as they work to rebuild. Many families are without reliable transportation, making it difficult to get to work or even access basic necessities. The camps and The Hunt Store are vital gathering places and sources of support for so many, and their recovery is essential for our community’s
Every contribution will go directly toward a vehicle replacement for myself. Your support will make a real difference for all of us as we work to rebuild and move forward.
