Team Mari Back 2 School 2021

Hi everyone, my name is Mari Copeny, I'm 14 years old and globally I am known as Little Miss Flint even though I'm not so little anymore.

Every year for the past 6 years I have done a back to school drive, even last year when we were in the middle of the pandemic. Sending kids back to school is a huge financial burden for parents in a regular year, but being in the middle of a pandemic makes it even worse and I want to help ease that burden for as many parents as possible.

This year, with kids getting to head back into classrooms full time since Spring of 2020 I want to do this years back to school drive bigger then ever before. Not only do I want to do fully stuffed backpacks, we also want to bring back the uniform shop since almost every school k-8 in Flint are in uniforms and most kids have outgrown the uniforms the used before school shut down.

We are also going to bring back the hair accessories boutique, add in a free "book fair", distribute my water filters and more.
