From Breast Cancer Survivor to a larger family

In 2013, the world stopped for Jessica Zarling. Our vibrant, passionate, fun loving and life of the party was at work , teaching young children, when she received a call that changed her life forever.
Jessica was told that she had Breast Cancer. She was 34 years old. The next 7 years have been a battery of chemo, radiation, therapy, a double mastectomy and countless reconstructions all while continuing to teach classrooms of children. Although she was fighting for her life, Jessica knew that cancer and the ravages that she battled all these years would not take away the joy of her life.
The young children and their families counted on her every day. Jessica, who volunteered countless hours to various organizations within her community, counted on those same kid's smiles, hugs and imagination.
Jeremiah Thomas had been blessed in 2013 with a beautiful daughter. However, not long after, Jeremiah and his daughter were on their own.
In 2016, both Jessica and Jeremiah happened to meet. Neither were expecting what happened afterwards. They loved in a way that they just knew that they were meant for each other.
It was in late 2017 that Jessica and Jeremiah began trying to grow their family. After a series of miscarriages and the emotional toll that both Jessica and Jeremiah were experiencing, they decided on IUI treatments. After 3 unsuccessful IUI attempts, they have elected to seek IVF treatment in hopes of bringing in another member to their family.
Due to Covid-19, Jessica and Jeremiah have elected to hold off marriage so that those that have touched their lives can be a part of their second happiest day of their lives.
Jessica wants to be able to teach her own child the life skills of her beloved Montessori education that she has given to hundreds of other children. Jeremiah wants to be able to provide his daughter with a sibling, whom she desperately wants.
Funds raised will be used to help cover the costs associated with IVF treatment.
