Please help us "Keep the Lights On" at The Veterans Group in Philadelphia!
Sadly, many Veterans in Philly find themselves displaced or even homeless and we've been there to provide a roof over their head, three daily meals, and additional programs for up to 41 Veterans at a time. The Veterans Group transitional housing program has been providing a safe place for over 9 years.
Unfortunately, we have faced a series of unfortunate circumstances and our organization is struggling to "Keep the Lights On" for our Veterans. Frankly, we are behind on our bills - all of our bills. In addition to a major plumbing emergency requiring ground excavation, our walk-in freezer broke.
Not only did it cost a pretty penny to repair both but when the freezer broke, thousands of dollars in food was lost, creating an additional financial set-back.
To be honest, The Veterans Group is facing a potential closure if we can't quickly raise funds and get caught up. (We don't receive any state or government funding and rely on the generosity of businesses and individuals in the local community to run our program.)
Will you please GIVE NOW to "Operation Keep the Lights On"?
Please help us continue housing, feeding, and providing programs to those who have valiantly served our country but frankly don't have any where else to go. All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt.
Our Mission: The Veterans Group helps veterans help themselves by empowering them and their family members to once again become productive members of society.
