STAGGERING INCREASE IN NUMBERS - AN URGENT NEED

Over 516,640 people in CT are food insecure — 1 in 7. An 11% increase in less than a year.
This includes 122,000 children — 1 in 6.
Since 2020, the food insecure population has increased by 152,600 people — about 40% increase.

A MEANINGFUL INITIATIVE

We’ve all faced challenges in recent years that we never could have imagined. People's lives have shifted, prices have risen, hardships have grown, and uncertainty has touched many of us. Yet through it all , one thing hasn't wavered: the strength of the human spirit. This matters most right now, as thousands of families across Connecticut struggle to afford their next meal.

This year, over 200,000 families in Connecticut are struggling to put food on the table. And because of the recent cuts in food assistance programs, the need has never been greater!

In addition, the proposed $200 billion cut to SNAP threatens to eliminate 6 billion meals a year—far beyond what food banks can replace—and families across Connecticut are already feeling the impact.

This is where we need your help

From October 1 – December 31, Earth Animal is joining forces with the Connecticut Foodshare to fight hunger. Every dollar will be matched by Earth Animal Corporate!

Last year, with your generosity, we raised over $75,000, providing 150,000 meals to neighbors in need. This year, the need is HUGE—and together, we can feed more families than ever.
