UPDATE:

PRAISE GOD WE MET THE GOAL.

FROM THE TOP OF MY CROWN TO MY TONGUE THANK YOU.

*As the total has been surpassed, I am now officially ending the fundraiser, this has touched my heart in a very deep way, as someone who has been very silenced to speak to the compounding emotions this current engagement with civil rights- this has certainly brought the tone of hope back to my voice.

To those who purchased prints, please expect email correspondence in a few days, for shipping inquiries.

Please follow these two organizations (WORTH RISES  / ARTS FOR INCARCERATED YOUTH)  and again, if you have any platforms, any organizations who dig deep into the issues you care for please share your capital.

Thank you again, and each and every one of you, I will speak to you soon!

During the past few weeks, civil unrest has been met with various initiatives/donations as well as platforms working to bring awareness and presence to the ongoing assault of minority communities in this country.

I decided to lend my hand in the same tone and offer a few of my works for contribution, specifically works from my latest collaboration with Los Angeles novelist: Malik Kirkwood and his graphic composition: This Fragmented Stream of Consciousness.

The work created for this piece included seven photos detailing the psychological, emotional challenges that can exist within the narrative of black visibility in American history; a contemporary narrative experienced to date, as we currently face the process of eradicating what seems to be everlasting, systemic and spiritual oppression.

The two prints featured are "RAH " (left) and "ASH " (right) both film processed photos (120mm) - created Fall 2019.

Upon donation, please email a receipt of your contribution with the subject line: "RAH" or "ASH" (studio@a-jt.net

The prints will arrive unframed and tubed appropriately.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. (Brooklyn, NY)

I have decided to donate said proceeds to "Worth Rises " a New York based non-profit group, working to bring light to the networks, relationships made between big corp and the prison industrial complex which to this day stands as a billion-dollar industry.

Proceeds will also go to "Arts For Incarcerated Youth " a Los Angeles based non-profit organization that works with youth between the ages of 13-18 who are currently in the juvenile system and those who have also served time.  The group channels their advocacy through arts programs throughout LA county, and have become leaders using creativity as a means of powerful tool of engagement with those who have crossed paths with the criminal justice system.

Justice today has to include the conversation of our youth, ethics, economics, labor and visibility - I am naturally moved by both of these organization's commitment to mine the existing webs of financial exploitation that currently work for the benefit/success of this country and building up the creativity agency of our youth.

Thank ya'll (forreal) - I truly hope this is something I can continue.
