TEKU TEKU TO THE JUNGLE

December 26 I will take off to " The Jungle”,
a camp with about 6000 stranded refugees in Calais.
The camp is overcrowded, squalid & polluted,
which in combination with the bad weather conditions
….. well you get the picture, its not good.

I will volunteer with this organisation called  
l’Auberge des Migrants.
With the campervan I will drive out there,
which besides providing me a place to sleep
also gives me the opportunity to bring goods.

So my plan is to collect a lot of money ;)
Fill up the campervan with things on the list below that are really necessary. (instead of money donating these goods would be great too )
And if I have money but no space left in the campervan
I will spend that money in Calais on fresh vegetables.

The good thing about Gofundme is that its clear and you can see the donations adding up... the down side is that they take about 6.4% out of every donation.  An other option is Paypal ( might take some money from you too) or the bank.

Tarpaulins 3.5m x 5m and bigger ones
Tent (4man or larger)
Warm waterproof jackets and trousers
Garbage bags
Sleeping mats
Wind up/ solar torches and lanterns
Fire extinguisher( small kitchen size powder foam)
Waterproof walking boots, especially sizes 42 and 43
Flat pack cardboard boxes (size 60 x 40 x 32.5 or 90 x 60 x 48)
Building Materials -nails, rope and tools
Hats, gloves, scarves,Socks,Underwear
