He will run 4 miles in one hour followed by one hour recuperation and repeating until the target is met. He will be accompanied throughout by Liz Ellwood who will complete the equivalent of a marathon within 24 hours.

All monies raised will be split between The Prince Of Wales Hospice and SSAFA Canada Community.
If anyone would like to join Russ and Liz and give some support at any time during the challenge there will be a Zoom page set up and details published nearer the time.
For everyone involved in this event, we wish to pass on our sincerest appreciation to raise funds for these two worthwhile charities who provide so much support for many individuals and their families.
The Prince Of Wales Hospice - Provides care for patients with any life-limiting illness, including cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic heart and lung disease. They care for anyone over the age of 18, either as a visiting out-patient, or on our ward where we offer 24-hour specialist care. Our Hospice helps people live better with their illness, with over half who stay with us eventually returning home. Many choose the safety and dignity of our Hospice for care at the end of their life.
SSAFA Canada - A fundraising committee who plan and carry out their own fundraising events within the BATUS community that is for the benefit of the community reaching from Medicine Hat, Ralston through to Cochrane. All funds raised for SSAFA Canada are for the benefit within in the BATUS community for those in challenging personal circumstances. Examples of support previously given includes part-funding compassionate flights for serving personnel or their families and funding of emergency on-off childcare. SSAFA Canada also helps to fund morale boosting and community initiatives.
