By pooling our funds, we can take ownership of our course's development, rather than relying solely on our Parks and Recreation department (that is awesome btw). For now, we're focusing on a single basket, but the benefits of crowdsourcing improvements to Triple Creek Disc Golf Course are enormous.
Benefits
- Customization: Community-funded equipment allows for tailored course design, catering to local preferences and skill levels.
- Faster Upgrades: Bypass bureaucratic delays and install new baskets, tees, amenities, etc. at a pace that matches the community's enthusiasm.
- Enhanced Playability: Upgraded equipment and course features improve the overall disc golf experience, attracting more players and boosting the community's reputation.
- Increased Accessibility: Improved courses can accommodate more players, fostering a more inclusive and diverse community.
- Community Pride: Collective investment instills a sense of ownership, encouraging volunteers to maintain and improve the course.
- Sustainability: Self-funded courses reduce reliance on municipal budgets, ensuring the course's long-term viability.
- Growth and Development: A thriving disc golf community, driven by collective investment, can attract events, tournaments, and new players, further growing the sport.
