On July 29, our family experienced a tragedy we never imagined. In the blink of an eye, our family’s world changed forever.
My beautiful nieces, Alyssa, Ashley and nephew Julian, lost their dad, Tony. One day he was with us, full of life, and the next, he was gone. Their world has been turned upside down, and nothing can prepare young hearts for a loss like this.
For anyone who knew Tony(their Father) knew that he wasn’t just their parent, but their rock, protector, and biggest cheerleader. He was the kind of man and father who worked hard every single day so his children never had to go without. His love for his children was fierce and unconditional.
On top of the grief they’re facing, there are immediate financial responsibilities that cannot wait — mortgage, utilities, groceries, and other basic needs. Their father was the provider, and while the union is working to assist, there will be months before any financial support reaches them. In the meantime, they have no choice but to cover these expenses on their own.
My nieces and nephew, shouldn’t have to carry the burden of “how will we get by?” when all they should be doing is healing and remembering the man who loved them more than anything.
We know times are tough for everyone, and we do not take your kindness for granted. Every dollar raised will go directly toward keeping a roof over their heads, the lights on, and food on the table. Our goal is $30,000 to cover the next few months until things stabilize.
If we are blessed to exceed this goal, any additional funds will be used to help them transition into this new chapter with as little stress as possible.
Whether you can give financially, share this fundraiser, or simply keep this family in your thoughts and prayers; it all matters. Your generosity will help lighten their load as they navigate this painful loss.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside Alyssa, Ashley and Julian, in this time of unbearable loss. Your kindness will be part of the love that carries them forward.
