On October 1st, our family experienced a loss that we still don’t have the words to fully process. We lost our beloved Torrin after he fought an incredibly hard and aggressive battle with cancer.

Anyone who knew Torrin knew how deeply he was loved. He was a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, a friend, and so much more to so many people. He fought with everything he had until he simply couldn’t fight anymore. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain.

But in the midst of our grief, there is another heartbreak that weighs heavily on our family: six children now have to navigate life without their father.

Six children who deserved more time with their dad. More birthdays, more holidays, more hugs, more laughter, more conversations, and more memories. Six children who should have had more opportunities to grow up with their father by their side, cheering them on, guiding them, protecting them, and celebrating every milestone along the way.

There will be moments when they wish they could hear his voice, ask him for advice, share exciting news with him, or simply feel his arms around them one more time. Those are moments no child should have to face without their father, and no family is ever truly prepared for a loss like this.

Cancer took our brother, our mother’s son, and a father from six children who still need him.

While we know that nothing and no amount of money can ever replace Torrin or take away the pain his children will carry, we also know that love can show up in meaningful ways. It can provide support during difficult moments, help meet everyday needs, and remind his children that even though their father is no longer physically here, they are not alone.

As their family, we are committed to showing up for these children, pouring into them, protecting them, and making sure they continue to feel the love that surrounded their father. We want them to know that they have a family and a community standing behind them as they face a future none of us ever imagined.

The funds raised will go toward helping with their needs, providing stability, and supporting their well-being through the remainder of the year and beyond as our family continues to navigate this tremendous loss.
