Funeral Services for Shavon Louise Bell Houk, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Hudson and Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Full obituary to follow.

On Saturday, August 22nd, Shavon, suffered of a sudden aneurysm at home and despite efforts was unable to be come back from the damage her body endured. However, even in her death, Shavon gave to others through the gift of organ donation.

This has been a very challenging time for Shavon’s loved ones including her parents Duane & Kathie Dill, Zollie Bell, her brother Vincent, her son Zane, husband Chris and beloved pets Shark, Willie, Pumpkin, Slick, Drifter, Ralph and Beauty.

While this is a devastating time and we grasp at ways to help in a helpless situation, we ask that instead of flowers, you consider making a donation to support Zane’s goal to attend culinary school. Shavon herself was a beautiful cake decorator and an amazing cook. Shavon always helped everyone around her. She shared her skills with her coworkers and wowed her family with meals prepared from the heart. Zane was Shavon’s biggest priority in life and wouldn’t want her passing to to re-write his goals or allow the fear of the financial strain to deter Zane from meeting this goal.
