That article reflected only a small part of what we lived through quietly for months. For us, it was a brief summary of one of the most fragile periods of our lives.
In June 2025, we suffered a miscarriage. That loss deeply affected us both emotionally and physically. Doctors warned us that any future pregnancy would be considered high-risk. Despite that, we tried to hold on to hope and continue moving forward.
In September 2025, my wife was taken into ICE detention. She was pregnant at the time. She remained in detention for a total of 122 days. Every single day during that period was filled with uncertainty. We worried constantly about her health, our unborn baby, and our future, with very little information and no clarity about what would happen next.
Thanks to this fundraiser and the support we received, we were able to begin the legal process. A Habeas Corpus case was filed, and thankfully, my wife was eventually released. Her release brought immense relief, but it did not mean our struggles were over.
During this process, we lost our home. We had two vehicles. We were unable to keep up with the loan payments on one of them, and it was repossessed by the finance company. The second vehicle is now also at serious risk of being repossessed, as its payments have gone unpaid for nearly four months, and we have very little time left. Transportation is critical for us, and until we can secure stable housing, there were nights when we were forced to sleep in our car. These conditions have been especially difficult given my wife’s pregnancy.
At this point, we are truly starting from zero. My wife still urgently needs consistent medical care, rest, and a safe environment. We have not yet been able to prepare even the most basic necessities for our baby.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED
The funds raised through this campaign will be used strictly for essential needs, including:
• Securing safe and temporary housing
• Medical care and prenatal checkups related to the pregnancy
• Essential baby items
(crib, baby clothing, diapers, car seat, stroller)
• Basic living expenses
• Transportation-related costs to avoid losing our remaining vehicle
• A small emergency buffer for urgent and unexpected needs
