Support Karduck Family

On September 11, 2019, Joe Karduck unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind his wonderful wife, Leslie, amazing daughter, Annamika (Mika) and two very beloved dogs, Gibson and Marley.
Joe was a man with a huge heart, big smile, and a warm personality that made everyone around him feel special. His passing has left a hole in the hearts and lives of many, and the outpouring of support has been phenomenal. For those who have been asking or wondering how they can help, here is how best to support the Karduck family:
1. Hug the people you love – simply enjoy and appreciate life’s little moments, and the people in your life who make those moments special. Joe surrounded himself with people he loved, and he gave great hugs.
2. Honor Joe by checking in on your own heart health & supporting AHA - Please see your health care provider for a complete check -up including your heart. You can also donate to American Heart Association in Joe’s honor or join the growing team for the Heart and Stroke Walk on Saturday, October 12th. (this link allows you to do either/both)
3. Support the family directly -
· Send us your Joe memories. We are putting together a slideshow/capsule/memory book for Joe’s celebration of life and for Leslie and Mika to keep. Any fun pictures, stories and videos (Mika really wants videos) of Joe over the years. Please send via email to [email redacted] and include Subject line: Memory of Joe.
· Join the Meal Train. If you want to sign up to bring the family a meal, please contact us as we can direct you on where to go to sign up for this.
· Help with care for the dogs. Joe loved Gibson and Marley. Gibson still needs daily support since the car accident on April 2019. Up until last week, Joe and Leslie alternated working from home to care for Gibson and his special needs. Additionally, Marley is a puppy with a barrel of energy. With Joe gone, caring for the dogs alone can be burdensome on tough days. With his new wheels, Gibson can now go to doggie daycare with his sister, Marley. You can help the Karduck family by giving them time outside the home to heal, work and play, while knowing the dogs are well cared for.
We are pooling funds for a Downtown Dog Lounge gift card. We will pool the funds together to buy the max number of days Available. .
Please continue to keep Leslie and Mika in your thoughts and prayers.
