Our beloved brother Steve, is in the fight of his life. At just 38 years old, he has endured a series of terrifying cardiac events that have led doctors to one inevitable conclusion—he needs a heart transplant.
Over the past month, Steve has battled a life-threatening arrhythmia called VT storm, requiring multiple emergency interventions, ambulance rides, a life flight to a major hospital, ECMO life support, two cardiac ablations, and countless shocks to convert his heart out of the arrhythmia. His medical team has done everything possible to stabilize him, but with all these interventions in a short month window, his heart has suffered greatly. The medical team has opted to move forward with a heart transplant.
Through all of this, Steve has been unable to work, leaving his family—his wife and two children, one of whom has special needs—without financial stability. As the sole income provider, his absence is devastating and the burden is becoming heavier by the day.
Steve has spent his career working as a bartender at the airport.
Now, we turn to you—our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers—for help. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly to supporting Steve and his family's living expenses and the road to recovery after his transplant, where he will not be able to work for an extended period of time. Steve is a fighter. He is a husband, a father, a friend, and a man who has touched countless lives with his kindness. Let’s come together to give him the chance to keep fighting. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
Our Father Doug and our mother and his amazing wife have been truly amazing supporting him and being by his bed everyday until he is able to step out with a new heart.
