Support Monica and Chris After Devastating House Fire

On November 15th, 2024, my sister Monica and her Fiancé Chris experienced a tragic house fire that ultimately displaced them from their home and left them with none of their personal belongings. Their entire attic was burned, the ceiling collapsed, and their contents were covered in fire retardant, water, and exposed to smoke.

If you knew Monica and Chris personally, you would know that they were incredibly proud of their house and super pumped to make it their own piece of heaven. Becoming homeowners was a long time goal of theirs and for the past 4 years of their relationship they strategized and saved as much as they could and it finally came into fruition. They closed escrow on July 31st 2024 making it almost 4 months of living in their new home.

Chris had just completed building a patio cover in the backyard to be able to host thanksgiving for their families and to shelter their husky, Rawlee, since this was the first time he would have an actual yard to run around in.

These next months will be tough for Monica and Chris as they will need to navigate with insurance and contractors to get their home back to normal and replace their personal belongings contents of their home. They will be out of their house for a minimum of 12 months as the extent of the damage is large.
