This GoFundMe initiative is for two teenage children who have suddenly lost their father.
In Stonegate, Airdrie on March 21 our friend and neighbour lost his life suddenly due to a tragic accident.
The father had recently returned home from a prolonged stay in the hospital, and was on the path to getting healthy again when this accident happened. His 15 year old daughter and 17 year old son residing with him are now left without a father. The incident occurred on the heels of a number of unfortunate events that have left the children in significant financial need.
Although the two children are unable to stay in Airdrie, they would like to finish the high school year in Airdrie. The oldest is due to graduate this year, and plans to pursue vocational training in Calgary next year.
Please consider donating funds for them during this difficult time to provide for immediate needs, help finish the school year, and pursue further education/career paths.
So far funds are being used for daily transportation costs on public transit to and from their high school in Airdrie. (2 hour trip each way to and from school) Once there are no more immediate needs identified, I will be withdrawing all remaining funds into my personal account . I will then deposit the funds directly into an RESP for each child in conjunction with their mom.
