Support Norma Wright After Altadena Fire
Doação protegida
My name is Dasia McByrd, and I’m from the Chicago suburbs, raising funds for my grandmother, Norma Wright, who lost her home in the recent Altadena fires.
My grandmother has lived in Altadena for more than 40 years. The devastating fires have not only destroyed her home but have deeply impacted our entire family, including my cousins, aunts, and uncle, as this house has been a central place of connection for generations.
My mother, siblings, and I have only known my grandmother since 2011 because she had to give my mother up for adoption when she was just 16. Despite that, this home became a place of healing, love, and family reunification. I was blessed to share a year living with my grandmother—an experience my mother never had the chance to share.
This home held priceless memories for our family. It was filled with journals, photo albums, books, and keepsakes that reflected our family's legacy—many of which were lost in the fire.
We are raising funds to help cover my grandmother's essential needs, clothing, food, unexpected costs, and replacing items she's previously had in her home where she can start creating new, lasting memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Every contribution matters, and we are believing God for complete restoration and provision for her and our family.
Thank you for your prayers, support, and generosity.
