Support No Child Left Out Basketball Event

My name is Darnell Reed, and I have the pleasure of introducing and taking part in a Nonprofit called "No Child Left Out." Also, I am pleased to introduce you to its CEO, Mr. Eric Williams, and invite you to help with his Second Annual Basketball Tournament.

The purpose of No Child Left Out is to use sports as a tool to grab children's attention in the community and direct them to mentorship, financial literacy, trade training, college education, exposure of different occupations, and community outreach. Mr. Williams and myself understand the issue plaguing the South Bronx and wants to provide underprivileged children with opportunities to occupy their time with sports and comradery, prevent children from falling into the perils of the street, and aid with teaching children how to grow and flourish from productive teens to productive adults in society.

This tournament, which initially started with two rival gangs playing against each other, has had a profound impact. After the game, these individuals ended their beef with one another. Armed with this knowledge, Mr. Williams pursued more games between people in the community to encourage dialog and decrease confrontation in the neighborhood. Last year's tournament, which lasted for about two months, held people from rival neighborhoods with no violence, inspiring hope and a sense of community. This year, teams from most of the Bronx districts are lined up to play, and we are so excited to host them with the hopes we can lead these children to sign up for future programs of No Child Left Out.

We are asking for donations to help pay for uniforms, which sponsors children who can't afford uniforms, for the DJ, trophies, and the referees for all the games. We also need donations for food, water, and Gatorade while the children play. Finally, we need donations to provide bookbags and school supplies for the children at the end of the tournament.
