Hello! My name is Cristina, I'm a single Mom of 2 boys living in Minneapolis, MN. I am first generation Mexican American, half white, half Mexican.

After 2 months of ICE raids intensifying, myself, friends and their young families are afraid that we will be in the wrong place at the wrong time just going about our daily lives. We have had a shooting in my neighborhood by fed agents. Going to work, picking up our kids or grocery shopping. Some are actually NOT LEAVING their house at all to protect themselves.

We are all different shades of brown, American Citizens with papers, birth certificates and Passports to prove our status. Yet, we live in fear of the violence these raids have brought to our neighborhoods.

Loved ones are having to carefully plan their work day communtes around the ICE raid events if at all possible. Living blocks away from these active areas we have no choice but to go through them everyday to bring kids to/ from school, work, the store, to see family and all while trying to stay warm during a cold Minnesota winter.

The conveniences of having everything delivered is currently unreliable for us in Minneapolis as most orders get cancelled. Delivery drivers like myself and family members are afraid of what we might run into on our routes.

This unsettling fear of being at the wrong place at the wrong time is keeping even our bravest friends and family from venturing out of our homes to work our side jobs that might help us pay for groceries or bills.

On behalf of my close friends and family, I am seeking financial support from community members near and far while our city is in the peak of this ICE operation.
