Support Kayla Jerome after Ryan Griffin's passing

On Saturday, May 20, 2023 the Griffin family unexpectedly lost a father, a husband, and a son. Ryan Griffin, 33, lost his life in a car crash leaving behind his wife, Kayla, and his two year old daughter, Savannah. Not only will they suffer this devastating, emotional loss, but will be financially challenged moving forward as a family of two.

Ryan spent his post-college years as a Capitol Police officer in Washington, D.C. Ryan was passionate about his line of work and bravely dedicated 7 years to the force; working closely as a member of the Hazmat Unit, Capitol Visitor Center and First Responders Unit. He had recently moved to the Berkshires to his wife Kayla's hometown to be closer to her family while Kayla courageously underwent medical treatment.

Ryan was a loyal friend who enjoyed making everyone around him laugh. He was a loving son who looked forward to spending time with his parents, Kevin & Cathy Griffin of Florida. He was most proud of being a father and always described Kayla and Savannah “Peanut” as being his whole world.

Kayla is an amazing person and mother. The past year has been tough as she navigated through health challenges with optimism and strength. While it has been a little over a year since her diagnosis, and Kayla is doing great, she still has appointments and surgeries ahead.

While Kayla and Savannah will have the support of family and friends, we are looking to relieve the financial burden of this tragic loss. We are hoping to help Kayla get back on her feet, assist in Savannah’s future education, for childcare costs and the many medical expenses Kayla faces.
