We are a tightly knit community challenging An Bord Pleanála regarding the planned O'Devaney Gardens Development.
Planning permission was granted this September 2021 to build 1,047 housing units in ten blocks up to 14 stories high, making it some of the highest buildings in the city in a historic neighborhood made up of low rise homes. Most of the development is made up of one to two beds units - not made for families.
This monster development is contrary to what was agreed with Dublin City Council and to the Dublin City Development Plan 2016-2022. Our community have been waiting a long time for these lands to be developed and the plans fall short of what we deserve.
We are now seeking support from neighbours to fund a legal challenge to this decision and protect our community. Donate what you can. We aim to raise €30,000 to initiate legal proceedings. A total of around €60,000 will be needed to be raised over the course of a year.
Join the Stoneybatter O'Devaney Action Group and be a part of your community.
In the event of the case being won, all legal funds will be distributed to local charities or refunded when specifically requested.
