Here in Springfield, we are focusing on:
- Building relationships with families and individuals impacted by detention or displacement
- Partnering with local organizations, faith groups, and volunteers to offer practical support
- Creating spaces of connection, belonging, and advocacy through acts of love and community care
We believe that love is active. It shows up, it listens, and it works for justice. Let’s build something beautiful together.
Abide in Love chapter of Springfield, MO is a nonprofit (filing in progress) working to support immigrants in our community. Guided by Dr. MLK Jr.'s philosophy of nonviolence, it seeks to use the tools of nonviolent social change to build the beloved community.
We want to be transparent with you about our tax-exempt status.
Abide in Love is a nonprofit organization and has submitted its application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status to the IRS. This process can take several months. While we have every reason to believe our
application will be approved, we cannot guarantee it.
What this means for your donation:
-If our application is approved: The IRS will retroactively recognize our tax-exempt status to our date of formation. In that event, your donation will be considered tax-deductible. We will notify you as soon as we receive our official determination letter and provide you with a tax receipt.
-If our application is not approved: Your donation will not be tax-deductible.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we work toward this milestone.
