Spread Christmas cheer to children of Appalachia
Donation protected
We have a big goal set because we want to do big things!
My name is Bethany Erickson. Myself and good friend Elizabeth Donaldson have been collecting stuffed animals and and other supplies at Bethany Rose Salon 11324 parkide drive in Knoxville. Project Teddy Bear Hugs is a drive to collect stuffed comfort animals for the victims of hurricane Helene. What started off as a simple collection of teddy bears has turned into so much more. We have collected almost 700 stuffed animals as well as sleeping bags, tents, coats for men, women, and children, hundreds of hats, gloves, scarves, heaters, propane, and food. We’ve made several trips to deliver supplies and have made connections and friends in Newport, Lake Lure and now Swannanoa. With Christmas just around the corner we are hoping to collect and raise funds for at least 1000 more stuffed animals and toys. ALL of the funds raised will go to purchase Christmas presents for the children affected by the recent tragedy. We will be delivering the toys as well as stockings to Churches and distribution centers such as Generations Church in Swannanoa so they can pass them out to deserving children in need. The children in this area have been through so much. Please help us continue to bring comfort and holiday cheer to the children of the disaster stricken areas. Please know that no donation is too small. A small gesture of kindness can mean the world to someone else.
