Hello, my name is Nurzhan Rakhim, and I am a single father raising my daughter Alina who has special needs.

Alina is a kind, loving, and resilient child, but she faces daily challenges due to her medical and developmental conditions. She has been diagnosed with intellectual disability (clinically referred to in medical records as mental retardation) and epilepsy. These conditions significantly affect her development, learning, independence, and daily functioning, and require continuous care, supervision, and medical support.

Caring for a child with intellectual disability and epilepsy involves frequent medical appointments, therapies, medications, and ongoing monitoring to manage seizures and support her development. As a single parent, I am doing everything possible to provide her with a safe, stable, and loving home, but the financial burden of her care has become overwhelming.

In addition to her current needs, one of my greatest concerns as a father is her future security. Due to her conditions, my daughter will likely need lifelong support. This fundraiser is also intended to help plan for her life when I am no longer able to care for her, including the possibility of:

• supported or assisted living

• a retirement or long-term care home with caregivers

• ensuring she has stability, safety, and dignity even after I am gone

This fundraiser is being created to help cover:

• Therapy and rehabilitation services

• Daily and long-term support services

• Planning for her future care, housing, and caregiving needs
