Help us build a stronger, greener, more equitable community by funding a new urban farm in south city St. Louis!
South City Urban Family Farm LLC (SCUFF) will transform an abandoned, overgrown, and undesirable city-owned lot into a place where the community can gather, grown food, eat, play, and learn together.
We want to welcome all members of our community, so there will be zero fees and produce will "sold" on a take what you can use, pay what you can afford to spend model.
When complete, SCUFF will have roughly:
- 1,200 square feet of garden beds
- 700 square feet of native prairie with children’s play space utilizing existing trees on the property that will be felled
- 400 square feet of covered community space
- 22 fruit trees
- 180 square feet of berries
- 270 square feet of grapes
- 175 square foot pumpkin patch
- Native grasses and flowers throughout
Amy and I spent 2021 researching, planning and purchasing the land. Now that we own it, we need your help to realize the dream!
Amy and I are not seeking reimbursement for the land purchase, so 100% of donations go directly to SCUFF to build the farm.
