Smallsy's Shave
Through the Giants we have had the honour to work with Angels Wishes and Cancer Fund for Children. They are local charities helping children and their families across Northern Ireland. The work they do is incredibly special. We have been so fortunate to see first hand the difference they make.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to meet so many children with serious illnesses and conditions. They inspire me everyday to live life to the full and be grateful for everything I have.
Last summer we lost a very special boy Jayden to childhood cancer. Jayden fought for several years with a smile on his face and we will never forget him. This head shave is in his memory.
I also wanted to do something to support another one of our special children Molly. Molly had a brain tumour and lost her hair as a result. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be to be 12 years old and to go through what she did!
Last year, childhood cancer hit closer to home. This made me more determined to raise as much money and awareness for these charities as I could. The help and support they give is so vital to many families in these difficult circumstances
Please please please donate if you can. Every penny counts. As Big John says ‘many a mickle makes a muckle’. I appreciate all the support and donations more than you’ll ever know
**Due to the fact that I am giving to two charities, I have to transfer this money into my personal bank account. (this is the instruction from Go Fund Me). I will then spilt the money evenly between the aforementionned charities. I will then transfer the money to the charities. I will ask both charities to provide written confirmation upon receipt of the money**
