For those of you that don't know me, my name is Joshua Longest. I am a United States Marine Veteran and owner of a local construction company, JDL Urbanized Custom Construction. The recent string of vandalism and looting in our community has left local small businesses in shambles. With many of them questioning if they can even afford to open back up at all. Small business was struggling from the Covid Mandatory Shut Down as it was but now, it is on the verge of drowning. Some companies insurance providers are claiming they are not covered for damages incurred by riots. Leaving them trying to pay the brunt costs of damages on their own. I am trying to gain support from our community to help struggling businesses make necessary repairs and secure their properties from further damage if needed. Please help these small businesses stay alive. They provide atmosphere and culture to our city. Jobs directly and indirectly all across Sacramento. Food, wine, beer, music. You name it you can find it here. Please, at the very least, take a quick minute to share this cause on social media. A few quick clicks can go a long way. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
All donations go to any small business that we have reached out to or has contacted us to be added to the list of beneficiaries. Business must be in danger of shutting doors permanently, undergoing severe financial distress or have insurance that doesn't cover the cost of damages.
All Bay Lumber has already offered to donate and deliver as many materials as they can. THANK YOU! www.allbaylumber.com
JDL Urbanized Custom Construction alongside XRQ General Contractors are donating their services at cost. We are looking for a network of tradesmen and specialty contractors that are willing to do the same! Many of my personal network of friends have donated already as well.
Thank you Chris Grimes for kicking the wheels off on this! www.wooddynamic.com.
A big thank you also to everyone that have donated already! We can make it through these unprecedented times only in true unity.
If you are a local small business owner in need due to looting and vandalism and your insurance is unwilling to help pay for damages or in danger of closing your doors trying to pay for repairs contact me at the email address below or through GoFundMe so we can add you to the list of beneficiaries.
