Hey everyone, I'm Uncle JJ.

I'm here to gather awareness for nephew Silas. In hopes that our community may come together and bless Silas with the portable oxygen concentrator that he needs & deserves.

My baby sister passed away a few years ago from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Bless her heart she left behind 5 babies.

Her second boy Silas was born with a rare heart defect that required he have a new heart at just 2 years old. God answered and Silas did get his new heart. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with respiratory failure. His baby lungs were shutting down on him.

With the lung issues, Dr's told us they can never put him on a new heart transplant list in the future so this ticker is all we have. When it goes....

My sister took him home and for 14 years she was his mother, his dr, his caretaker, and his best friend. Losing her devastated Silas and I thought we would lose him too.

Noone could care for him so the state took him to a care facility 4 hours from his family. I fought dcs over a year to finally get Silas home.

He's home and safe now.

Unfortunately raising a disabled child alone was harder than I initially anticipated. With treatments every 4 hours and a shortage of inhome nurses, I've fallen so far behind.

At one time I employed 10 men, today I employ 0. I've lost my company, most of our tools, and no plan to get it all back anytime soon. Silas takes all of my time. I'm able to work here and there, just enough to get what we need.

Silas deserves so much more than i can give him.

Medically he's healthy and he eats great. I take care of our bills with side jobs here and there.

But Silas' time here is short and he deserves to run like the other kids  but lugging around a 20lb oxygen tank is hard on him.

Any funds that this fundraiser can gather will go directly to Silas’ concentrator.
