Signe's Retirement Gift

After caring for kids in the Methow Valley for decades, Signe is closing her in-home daycare this year! More than a caregiver, she has taught young kids all over this valley about kindness, play, friendship, safety, and laughter. For many parents and grandparents, she's also been part of our family's fabric. We drop our kids off early, pick them up after a long day and have someone to problem solve and laugh with as we sort through the struggles of parenting.

 

Signe is closing her in-home daycare this year, and we are hoping families and friends will contribute what they can to a retirement gift that gives her a real and meaningful financial lift as she looks toward the future. Unfortunately, the childcare providers we love and value have been underpaid for too long; this work does not come with a "retirement package."
