Hi! I’m Lauren, and I’m 14 years old from Bedfordshire, England.
I’ve been offered the incredible opportunity to go on an expedition to Cambodia in 2027. During my trip, I’ll be helping local communities with projects that will improve their daily lives, exploring new places, and immersing myself in a completely different culture.
This trip really means a lot to me — it’s a chance to step out of my comfort zone, explore the world, become a global citizen and positively impact others.
During the expedition, I’ll be working alongside local communities to improve living standards in sustainable ways. Projects will include :
•Building kindergartens to improve early years education and reduce the amount of children falling behind.
•Community toilets block installations - this will provide villages with clean and modern toilets, reducing hygiene and healthcare issues.
•Installing a clean water supply for an entire village.
•Working on environmental projects like reforestation and planting sustainable crops.
The expedition is also a fantastic chance to learn about Cambodia’s culture and understand its history. We will be visiting Angkor Wat, the S-21 Prison, and the Killing Fields. We will also be trekking through the Cambodian jungle !
This incredible adventure will be challenging and a real character-builder, but I’m excited to make a genuine difference while learning new skills and seeing the impact of my work firsthand.
However I need your help !
My goal is to raise £5250, which covers everything for the trip, including travel, accommodation and insurance. I’m working hard to earn as much as I can myself — through bake sales, sponsorships, online sales, helping at my local tennis club and sports events — but I’d really appreciate any support to help me reach my target.
This expedition is not just a trip — it’s an opportunity to help others, grow in confidence, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to Cambodia. Thank you ever so much for supporting me on this journey!
With love and gratitude.
