Help Braedyn Represent Canada at the World Championships

Braedyn has been invited to represent Canada at the 2026 Down Syndrome World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria — and your support can help get him there.

More Than Medals

Gymnastics wasn’t always part of our plan.

Like many families raising a child with Down syndrome, we spent years searching for programs that were truly inclusive. Many weren’t accessible, and others simply weren’t designed with kids like Braedyn in mind.

Then we found gymnastics.

What started as a way to build strength and coordination quickly became something much more. Through patient coaching and encouragement, Braedyn found confidence, routine, and a true sense of belonging.

He wasn’t defined by limitations — only by effort and growth.

A Journey to the World Stage

In 2025, Braedyn competed at the First Pan-American Open Gymnastics Championships for athletes with Down syndrome, earning:

Silver (Pan-American division)
Bronze (International division)

Now, he has been invited to represent Canada at the 2026 World Championships — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Braedyn proudly trains with the Campbell River Gymnastics Association, where he continues to grow as both an athlete and a young man.

Why This Matters

This journey is about more than competition.

It’s about inclusion — and what becomes possible when individuals with intellectual disabilities are given real opportunities to participate, belong, and thrive.

There are so many families like ours who want this for their children, but access and funding are still major barriers.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Unlike many athletes, Braedyn’s training and competition costs are covered by our family.

These include:
• Travel and accommodations
• Competition and registration fees
• Coaching and training support
• Equipment and competition attire
• Pre-competition camps and related costs

We are fundraising through our community, but we can’t do it alone.

How You Can Help

Every donation — big or small — helps bring Braedyn one step closer to representing Canada.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or following his journey means just as much.

Your support is helping make this dream possible
