Justice for Carlos from Crooked Unjust Cop

Hello Internet, I'm asking for your help to post bail on behalf of my uncle, Carlos (aka "Chuck"), and the Gonzalez family.

Nearly seven years ago there was an incident in Missouri that resulted in a police chase where an officer is alleging he was shot at by Carlos. On the bodycam footage, the officer lied and made a false report, and at the bond hearing, he lied under oath, changing his statement.

The driver involved also states that Carlos is the alleged shooter. This person has changed their statement three times since the incident and is agreeing to proffer against him for a lesser sentence, denying their past friendship with Carlos. My uncle has maintained his innocence throughout the whole case and has been incarcerated for 80 months. He hasn't been released a single time since the summer of 2016, while the codefendant has been free for five years.

Carlos hasn't had much of a life outside of incarceration since he was 12 years old—this also because of yet another instance of unjust law, now he's 28. He hasn't had a chance to spend time with family nor have one of his own, he hasn't gone to school, pursued a career, or seen the world. For the state to take the rest of his life away–for something he didn't do is unfair and completely unjustified as Carlos was not there when the crime took place.

It's imperative to Carlos's case that he is released on bail before his trial; as of now he has no defense and his attorney claims his case is a guaranteed loss. Yet there is evidence proving his innocence: still frame images and witnesses that provide Carlos's alibi. Once he's out, with his resources, he'll be able to find them (they aren't the type who go by nicknames on social media) and finally be free to lead a life outside of incarceration.
