Science March - Seattle
Donation protected

Science is our most powerful tool for understanding and bettering the world. It has extended our life expectancy, stabilized our agriculture, expanded our communication, set us starbound, and shed light on the ignorance of bigotry. But Science isn't a force; it's a human creation. It can be undermined, as well as supported. We're in a time where many of its institutions are under attack. With the advent of a new administration, it's a worrying time for lovers of Science. Federal agencies have been forced to silence their social media presence. The administration has ordered that studies or data from the Environmental Protection Agency, including content on the EPA website, must be reviewed by political appointees before being released to the public. March for Science-Seattle will unite scientists and the pro-Science community, to make our voice heard! Our goal is to promote the respect for and use of Science in public discourse and public policy, but we can't do it without help.
To make the march a reality, we need support! Expenses may include:
Permits
Road Closures
Portable Restrooms
Signs and shirts
Per Diems for Volunteers
Water for Participants
Fliers and other Promotional Materials
We need to raise $5,000 to make sure we can cover these costs. Join our cause, and help us make our voices heard!
