This project—was born from personal experience. My father lives with advanced keratoconus and relies on custom scleral lenses to maintain his sight. While these lenses have been life-changing, they also come with a high and often prohibitive cost, especially for patients without comprehensive vision insurance or living on limited incomes.

I hope to:

• Raise awareness around scleral lens costs and the lack of widespread insurance coverage

• Fundraise or connect patients to support networks that help offset out-of-pocket costs

• Partner with clinics and nonprofits to direct assistance to those most in need

• Advocate for policy conversations about inclusion of scleral lenses in broader healthcare coverage
