Hello FB & GoFundMe friends,
Facebook is great for reconnecting with old friends and staying in touch, but the true power of FB & GFMe is in how we can use it to help our friends & fellow man in need. And this is just one such opportunity that I beg you to consider.
You may know Tim Blackman, former lead singer of my old band Faith or Fear. Tim is married to Lisa and they have (3) children, (2) of which still live at home. Together they have had some real struggles over the years, more than the average person, and Lisa has been a faithful, loving and supportive wife through all their ups and downs. But recently they have fallen into a deep financial hole in which they are about to lose their home on November 4th with nowhere else to go unless the power of our love and friendship steps in to rescue them.
They don’t want to traumatize the kids with another move and of course there is a tremendous amount of stress & depression that this has put on the family. In the meantime they are selling off everything they can and using one car to get between multiple jobs.
The total debt to save the house is $6,600 and there is additional debt owed to the IRS, for locked up storage units, an accountant, an unemployment overpayment the state made that they want back, and dental bills. Grand total is $13,654.
If I can ask (2) two things of you:
· If the Lord moves on your heart, please follow through and show Tim, Lisa and the kids your love and support for them by giving any amount that you can RIGHT NOW – PLEASE DON’T WAIT because November 4th is just around the corner. No amount is too small and will have a far greater impact than you will ever know. Let’s bless their socks off!
· If you can, please consider contributing more than once. For instance, if you get paid weekly and can afford to contribute a little something every week, that would be awesome! Or if you get paid bi-weekly & can contribute bi-weekly that too would be awesome! My point is to consider this an on-going venture and not just a one-time thing if you are in a position to do so.
· Lastly, PLEASE share this on your page so we can reach others.
Thank you so much!!
