Reyes Family Fund

Dear DeGolyer Community,

I hope everyone has had a restful break. I am reaching out to share some sad news about one of our DeGolyer families. This past Wednesday, the Reyes family had a house fire. They have been displaced and have lost most of their possessions. This has been a devastating event for them, and any help from our community would be greatly appreciated.

I have spoken with Ms. Reyes and while she and her two girls are ok and staying in a hotel, they are understandably upset and struggling to cope with the loss of their home and belongings. Despite everything they have been through, they have remained strong and resilient.

That is why I am calling on our community to come together and support this family during this difficult time. We have set up this account to raise money to help them with basic needs until they can begin to regroup and start anew. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference and be greatly appreciated.

Our 3rd-grade student, Samantha Reyes, is a wonderful child. She came to DeGolyer after her previous school, Walnut Hill, was destroyed by the tornado in 2019. Her sister, Sophia, is a sixth-grade student at Sudie. With your help, we can provide them with the resources and support they need to get back on their feet.
