Safe House
Donation protected
While everyone has been trying to stay home and stay healthy, home has become an unhealthy and unsafe place for many people. Domestic abuse is spiking around the world, and concerns about the pandemic are making it harder for people to escape to a place that is safe from violence and COVID-19.
To take initiative and address this issue, Safe House was established. It’s a project that brings together domestic violence non-profit groups RAINN and NCADV with a real estate company (who wishes to remain anonymous). This company will place victimized families into unused, luxury apartments that have been left empty as a result of the pandemic. While the majority of costs for these apartments have been reduced to zero, there are some remaining maintenance and administrative costs that can't be avoided. That’s where we need your help.
Thanks to your donations, Safe House is already placing abused families into new, fully-furnished apartments, but more donations are needed to provide these resources to other families in need.
Let’s continue to keep more families safe.
