Mopvens fled extreme violence in Haiti as a child and built a family in Florida. Wrongfully jailed for 6 years before his case was dismissed, he was handed directly to ICE instead of being reunited with his children. Though SOS won his immigration case, ICE refuses to release him. We are now fighting in federal court to bring him home.

Andrea, a transgender woman, escaped a life of sexual violence in her home country only to face further abuse in U.S. detention. Andrea was denied due process and, without continued legal defense, she risks deportation, where she faces continued sexual violence and death threats.

Oksana and Maksym fled the war in Ukraine, looking for safety in the U.S, but Oksana lost her husband after ICE denied him life-saving medical care while in detention. SOS is working to hold ICE accountable so his death is not ignored to prevent continued harm without consequence.

These are not isolated stories. They are the daily reality of thousands of immigrants caught in a system stacked against them.
