This level of family separation is an act of inhumanity that no child should have to endure and causes <a href="https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/12/16/us-lasting-harm-family-separation-border" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">lifelong trauma</a> that carries through <a href="https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2018/06/5-questions-how-border-separations-can-traumatize-children.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">generations</a>.
