UPDATE- poor Remi has gone to be with the Lord. 

This fundraiser is being pivoted to help cover upcoming costs for the family to celebrate their sweet Remi

Many people in the area know Nicole Coons and Kris Newbury. They are two people that are continuing to build their lives together.

 

About 7 months ago they found out that their blended family would be expanding by one. They discovered that little Remi would be born in late February or early March.

 

In early February, they heard news that would knock any parent to the floor. Doctors told Nicole and Kris that Remi had an undeveloped heart, is under sized, and it likely to need immediate heart surgery following birth.  Remi has also been diagnosed with Trisomy-18, which is a life threatening genetic disorder.  One of these challenges alone would be a massive undertaking for any parents.

Doctors have told Nicole and Kris that the first two years of her life will be constant care and supervision.  There will be hospital visits, travel, treatment, food and accommodation costs, time away from their family, therapy, and constant supervision.  This will take place, all while the bills will not only continue to come in, but they will increase.  Their time at work will have to take a back seat, while Remi grows and improves.

Helping Remi thrive will be their main focus, so let's band together and support them through this.
