In my daily volunteer work, I often encounter refugees that are attempting to re-settle in this country. They are very grateful to be in the United States and are willing to work very hard to become independent but they face many challenges. I recently met a family who is struggling to pay rent. The father is unemployed but looking for work. He is married with 3 children. Can you help them pay one month's rent to give him time to find a job and other resources? He needed to pay rent by Feb 10th but I helped him get a 1 week extension. If you can donate just $5, $10, $20, it will show a good faith effort and he and his family will be allowed to stay in his apartment. I know that he will find a job soon and never forget the community who helped support him. This is the best way to show refugees (and the world) what a great nation we really are.
