Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out to you today on behalf of our dear friends, Patrick and DeAnna Ray, who have recently endured an unimaginable tragedy. In a harrowing dock fire that originated from another boat, their beloved floating home, The Lady B, and everything they owned were caught up in those flames, leaving them with nothing but ashes and heartache.

Patrick and DeAnna were not just live-aboards; their boat was their sanctuary, filled with cherished memories, treasured possessions, and a lifetime of dreams. The fire along the docks rapidly spread, consuming their vessel and everything inside. Valuables, sentimental family pictures, clothing, and even their much-loved musical instruments, including Pat's prized drum set, Dee’s custom guitars, keyboards, and other specialized equipment were lost in the blink of an eye. Sadly, they also had 5 very special cats that lived with them and despite a way out only one of their cats found a way to safety before the boat sank.

Music has always been a significant part of Patrick and Deanna's lives. Pat, an accomplished musician, played drums for the renowned Mira Loma High School Marching Band before graduating in 1986. Their instruments and recording equipment, which held immeasurable sentimental and creative value are gone.

We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising a minimum of $5000 to provide immediate assistance to Patrick and Deanna in rebuilding their lives. The funds will be used to help them secure a place to live, purchase essentials like food and clothing, and most importantly, replace their beloved instruments, recording equipment, and to take care of their one remaining kitty.

Your generosity will not only help them meet their basic needs during this challenging time but also provide them with the means to heal through the power of music, which has been their passion for decades.
