Sailability Greater Tampa Bay, Inc. is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, recognized as a 501(c)(3), dedicated to making sailing accessible and affordable for children and adults of all abilities.

The hurricanes of 2024 destroyed our handicap accessible ADA docks based in Clearwater, Florida. Without a dock and a lift, we are unable to provide access to those most in need in our Hansa Accessible Sailboats.

Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible sailing activities and education to children and adults of all abilities, focusing on community integration to improve the quality of life for all involved.

We believe in empowering the individuals we serve by offering them the chance to participate in activities they may have never imagined possible. In many ways, sailing mirrors life itself: you can't sail directly into the wind, you need to tack. Just as in life's journey, it often requires navigating various paths, and sailing teaches us resilience and adaptability in that pursuit.

Our participants encompass a diverse range of individuals, from children to adults. We welcome those who are limb different (amputees), people with developmental or physical challenges, individuals with autism or neurological impairments, veterans, people living with PTSD, children in foster care, and anyone with a desire to share in what we offer.

We partner with various organizations, including veteran groups, Special Olympics athletes, Wheelchairs for Kids, Last Wishes, and foster children, and other organizations that bring opportunities to those in need.

Any and all contributions no matter how small, will assist in helping those in need gain access to enjoy the beautiful waters of Clearwater, Florida. Your contribution will help restore our participants' access to the water and empower them as individuals to experience the freedom and joy of sailing.
