The victim was 16 years old when she was raped by a 30 year old man. She went to Pine Street Pub with her school friends to celebrate her friend's brother being home from Border Patrol. She had too much to drink and couldn't drive, so he offered to drive her home. She trusted him even though she had never seen him before that night because they had mutual friends. Instead of driving her home, he drove her to his house and raped her. She became pregnant as a result of that rape.

When the child was five, the rapist found out about the child, and a DNA test confirmed he was the father. In 2015 she pressed charges, but the charges were never pursued.
In 2016, the judge ordered the victim, to pay him child support and legal fees. She now has $45,000 dollars in legal fees she can't pay.
