Raising Skylar Raine
Donation protected

April 7, 2021, was the happiest day of Alyssa Tocyloski (21) and Dahveed Williams’ (24) lives. They welcomed their precious baby girl, Skylar Raine Williams, into the world at Garnet Health Medical Center. However, less than 24 hours later tragedy struck, leaving Baby Skylar without a mother and Dahveed to raise their newborn daughter alone.

Alyssa was a Monroe-Woodbury graduate. She and Dahveed were looking forward to spending time as a new family, in Alyssa’s family home, for a few months, before settling down in Michigan, for the next chapter of their lives. Dahveed, an East Ramapo Central School District graduate and former Hillcrest Fire Department volunteer firefighter, is left to dramatically alter those plans. He's now left to navigate life, with little Skylar Raine, but without her beautiful and loving mother.

To be close to his family and Alyssa’s family, Dahveed is now planning to relocate, back to New York, to raise Baby Skylar. The love and support from both families, friends and Dahveed’s former church, First Baptist Church, will become part of the village needed to help raise precious little Skylar Raine. Additionally, while Dahveed is learning his new role, as a father, we are reaching out to our larger community for any financial support. This support will help to provide for Skylar’s many needs, in the absence of their beloved Alyssa. Please pray for the Tocyloski family who lost their daughter and sister, Dahveed who lost the love of his life, and Baby Skylar who lost her mother hours after coming into this world.
Thank you in advance for your generous support, heartfelt prayers and well wishes.
