Rachel Robbins is 8 years old. Her seizures started in the summer of 2012.We spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital trying to get them under control. Doctors have tried several different medicines. Some of the medicine made matters worse.We went home with her still having seizures on a regular basis.We finally found a medicine that helped. But she was still having seizures on a daily basis.We were hopeful that she would grow out of them. August of 2014 the seizures started to get worse. Now the one medicine that seemed to work ,has now stopped working.We found out that she has medicine resistant epilepsy.After 5 days in the hospital and exstensive testing the only thing that will give her hope of a normal life is major brain surgery.This has been and will continue to be financially straining.I have had to give up my career to be with Rachel during her school hours to avoid her being removed from school as they say she is a liability and a burden to the teachers.This has been and is going to be a rough road for our family.
