REMEMBER THE FORGOTTEN #donateadollarchallenge

Hello, I am asking for support and assistance in my mission to help the forgotten folks here in the city of Pittsburgh during this COVID-19 crisis we all are facing.
Hopefully I can get my friends, family and the love of a stranger to aid me in advocating with/for folks on the streets who are often forgotten and discriminated against in society ESPECIALLY during this COVID-19 crisis.
Together we can make sure people dont go hungry and dont feel forgotten !

On March 6th, 2020 Gov. Tom Wolf signed a disaster declaration for the state of PA in response to COVID-19.

March 11th, 2020 the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a PANDEMIC.

March 13th, 2020 the Mayor of the city of pittsburgh declared a State Of Emergency in the city of Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately, in the state of PA,  and the city of Pittsburgh our leadership/elected officials seem to continue to forget those that are on the streets while helping everyone around them sadly and seemingly  intentionally .
This city has not been honest with the public regarding their "solution" to the "homeless problem" which is simply to not address them.

Right now during this crisis in this city and worldwide our folks on the street are getting very little support or even basic meals due to the city lockdowns with all business that usually feeds them being shut down.
As well as daily usually dependable traffic completely coming to a sudden stop making the opportunity to even ask for change nearly nonexistent  .
The State & Local officials have not to date announced a option or suggestion for the folks on the streets during this crisis outside a "secret location" unknown to advocates or the public who are concerned in many counties.
The decisions made to protect the everyday pittsburgh citizens are directly resulting in a crippling of our homeless community and population in this city.
They no longer have access to a bathroom, food, water , camp spaces, or basic essentials such us brushing teeth or even charging their phone.
Shelters are overwhelmed and underfunded unable to provide basic preventative care for the folks they serve often not having any bed for dozens who have no where else to go.

The Pittsburgh police across the city are harassing and policing folks on the street telling them to move, tossing their belongings, and in some cases threatening their freedom with arrest.
The public parks around the city are being policed so folks cant hang there which is sometimes the only option all while they have no where to "shelter in place" or "isolate"
Our city & State has spoken over 2 dozen times for various reasons yet not one emergency shelter or facility has been made available to the helpless to date.
These folks are still humans with rights simply because we are in crisis today doesn’t give this city the okay to treat them bad for a crisis they are in everyday and at this time sadly they are.

This city has gotten thousands in donation to aid in helping folks on the street but only if they are in the system or known to a supported group or organization.
Yet they are only obligating a group to 3 days a week to provide meals to the forgotten when they should be able to eat 7 DAYS A WEEK !
THE CITY DECIDED TO SUSPEND ALL STREET OUTREACH ! They are taking every step to protect people even if its hurting others and that shouldn't be acceptable.
The mayors office also said they were building and emergency shelter fully funded in NOVEMBER 2019 that wont be done until a years time leaving those without struggling currently with little to no help in this crisis while work hasn't begun for the shelter to date.
We cannot help one person while hurting another. I will do whatever I can to make that a point and after speaking with the mayors office I realized those really in need or without wont be getting immediate help at this time.

I am currently working with 4 folks directly making sure they have food, water, and all other basic essentials but I am turning others away without the resources to get them what they need.
I wish I could do more but independent & currently unemployed like many others I am limited to gracious donations I do receive from life savers and whatever I can spare myself.
My ambitious goal is to obtain donations to secure new clothes & shoes, hygiene kits/first aid, legitimate employment & legal documents , medical and dental services, transportation, portable chargers, sleeping bag/wool blankets/tarp, food & beverages, dog food & collars, in some cases temporary placement (hotel, room).
My goal is to help the forgotten and to #loveastranger despite their circumstances no matter their hardships how ever WE possibly can.

I am hopeful you all will consider the folks forgotten by society and the system with any donation big or small to really love a stranger !
Please consider joining our #donateadollarchallenge as every dollar counts and is equally appreciated by those that it WILL help.
Dont see the change be the change and remember you got me and I got you....see we are never alone.
Peace & blessings #loveastranger
