Please help me go on my dream trip and prove that kids with medical issues can be brave and travel!
I was diagnosed with epilepsy almost 3 years ago and have been trying to live as normal a life as possible. I take my medicine, avoid my triggers, and try to live a full life while encouraging kids who have epilepsy to be brave and LIVE! I have been seizure free for 2 1/2 years and got the thumbs up from my neurologist to travel more last November. I have started babysitting again with wonderful families who trust me, but have not been able to get a job to pay for my dream trip during Spring Break 2014. I realized that since my diagnosis, I have been working hard to encourage others (like raising almost $8000 for my Children's Hospital) and that could be my "job" until I can find a "real" one!
So, I would appreciate any help to reach my goal. I have already earned almost $500 toward the $3000 cost of this London-Paris-Barcelona school trip. I have created several "rewards" for donations. It will be great fun to send a note or small gift to you or someone you know who needs some encouragement to get out there and LIVE even with a hidden or unknown disorder.
