My name is Karen Marberry. I am the sister of Robert (Bob) Marberry. I created this GoFundMe to help my brother through this terribly difficult time.

Bob has always been a quiet, soft spoken person who was always willing to help others who needed it. He took care of his family and his obligations but rarely asked for help for himself, even when he desperately needed it. He is a divorced father of two and a good person.

I hadn't spoken to my brother recently and hadn't realized until I reached out to him a couple of weeks ago just how bad his living and health situation had become. My brother has a laundry list of serious health conditions (Dementia, Type 2 Diabetes Mellites, neuropathy, carotid artery stenosis, peripheral vascular disease, and so many more) and also had a stroke because of his Dementia six months ago that took the sight in his left eye. With living expenses being so high, he's been working even when this could cause another heart attack or stroke. Unfortunately he has had three strokes in the last two and a half years and can no longer work as it's just too detrimental to his health. Every day he struggles with keeping the lights on, food on the table, and keeping himself alive.

Any financial support would go directly to pay for his medical care, his medical bills and other past due bills. It would also pay for moving expenses that would include gas, food, truck rental, etc. to get him out of his current deplorable living conditions in Texas, into clean, safe, affordable elderly housing in Minnesota. The moving truck will cost $1,180.08 to rent with fuel costing another $595.00. I'll be assisting with the move myself. We won't be hiring movers to keep the cost down.

For anyone who knows what Dementia is, you know the devastating cost this disease imparts. Dementia takes away the person they knew from themselves and from everyone else. I want to get my brother the help he needs. He currently has no quality of life and it is literally killing him.

Family is everything to me and I'm willing and able to help him with everything that I can, but am unable to help him financially. Bob is a kind and gentle person who I hate to see suffer as he is suffering now. He and I would be so grateful for donations that would enable him to get the help he so desperately needs.
